Last Sunday at Clayton Food Truck fest, I told them I wanted the rib tip sandwich, but hold the bread, potato salad or beans. . .just a box of the rib tips. Wowsie. . .I got home to find a bag of bones & fat/grisel. . .about 1/4 was eatable. After pitching most of it, my husband suggested I put it in a bag so next time you're out here you can see what I paid $10 for. BUMMERS. . .HOPEFULLY THIS ISN'T WHAT YOU PUT ON THE SANDWICHES!!!!!

How Much Did It Cost?: $9 with a soda

We asked the woman taking the order if the turkey was "pulled" and said it was smothered in BBQ sauce and the turkey breast was fantastic. When we opened the container, there were 2 pieces of plain sandwich bread in a baggie; the 3 pieces of sliced turkey breast (which looked like they were straight from a deli) were underneath waxed paper, a blob of BBQ sauce on top. We had to put our own sandwich together which was a huge mess. Regular sandwich bread and runny BBQ sauce do not go well together. The potato salad was pretty much mashed into a ball of mush. There were no chunks of potatoes; strictly a mashed potato consistency. A few friends had the rib tips and baked beans (straight from a can) and were not impressed with that either. $8 for a lunchmeat sandwich that I had to make and mushy potato salad? Not worth it. I hope the Lunchtime Live event rotates food trucks.

At 3:30, at the corner of 8th & Market, I ask if they had pulled pork sandwiches. She told me we will make you one but they're different, we make them from pork steaks. I bought the plate with potato salad & baked beans. I threw most of it away as the big pile of fat and gristle covered in BBQ sauce was uneatable. He must have given me the scrap trimmings from the pork steaks sold earlier that day. A $10 lesson, I'll never go back. Oh yeah, the potato salad was more like mashed potato's mixed with mustard & mayo and the beans were from a can. I have never written a review before, and I hope I never have to again.

The bbq sauce is to die for. It was the best I have ever eaten anywhere, and I make a pretty good bbq sauce myself...so that is really a compliment!

The bbq sauce is to die for. It was the best I have ever eaten anywhere, and I make a pretty good bbq sauce myself...so that is really a compliment! The customer service was exceptional, the only thing not 1000% positive was that the pork and beans were a little bit bland, if they added some of that wonderful bbq sauce to the beans they would be AWESOME! Thank you for a great lunch!
